The US is already several trillion in debt with no intention of paying it off.
Why hound us for pocket change when they can just print another couple billion dollars and cure every disease?
If only it would work like that…
Do you mean curing disease won’t work or printing money won’t work?
The US pays for it’s $2 BILLION per DAY military with debt. It pays for it’s debts with inflation (printing money). It avoids having the rest of the world retaliating against this unfairness by having a $2 BILLION per DAY military.
“Printing money”* most definitely works.
Whether $2 billion of research would cure cancer or not, I don’t know…
* not literally printing paper money, but creating currency on a computer.
